Fantastic, high quality product. So many options in terms of connectivity and streaming, and HDMI is a definite plus. Sound quality is amazing and clarity on DSD and FLAC recordings are awesome! Been using it for a year now and the Onkyo TX8270 has allowed me to appreciate the joy of music (and even movies) again.
I bought this receiver in Jan 2020. I really like the direct WIFI connection for streaming Amazon music using the Onkyo app. The music playlists etc. display on the TV screen. The 8270 remote controls the Amazon music. No bluetooth needed. I have DISH and a Fire TV. The HDMI ARC and other HDMI inputs made for simple setup. Imputs switch automatically. There are lots of audio adjustments to play with. I think it has plenty of power and really clear sound through my speakers
I have been using the TX-8270 for apx. 3 years and have been very satisfied with almost every aspect of this receiver. Setup is fairly easy but there are a few settings you must make to get the 2 way HDMI working. Sound quality is fantastic and there is lots of power. I am using Paradigm Studio 80’s speakers and I have yet to run out of power. I use the internal phono preamp and find that it does a fine job and there is no need to purchase an external one. The sub woofer control also works very well and has lots of adjustability. I gave it only 4 stars because of one annoying glitch and that is, sometimes when switching between inputs it will not reconnect to some of the digital inputs. I have to shut down the receiver and turn it back on, than it will work. A bit of a nuisance. If you are looking for a 2 channel receiver with HDMI input than you can’t go wrong.
Onkyo is a great product. I have been using this one AV receiver for last 28 years, with no fault. Now, planning to buy this one again.
